Ted Baker & Resolutions // Fashion Favorites

Hi lovelies!

The last weekend of the year is here and I am nostalgic. 2017 has been one of the best years of my life:

  • I got engaged to the love of my life.

  • I re-surrendered my life to Christ and have started recovery on my hang-ups and habits.

  • My blog has grown and accelerated more.

  • I took some jobs and realized even more-so where I want to go in my career.

  • I've lost friends, but have gained even better ones.

God is good, what else can I say? I've had challenges along the way, but now that I look back at them and see the bigger picture: The challenges put in my path created a stronger version of myself. Obviously, challenges aren't always the most comforting things to go through, but it made me build more character and really see what I want for my life and the kind of people I want to surround myself with. I've figured out what's important and what wavelength I need to be on in order to be the strong woman of God I know the Lord has intended for me to be. It's been quite a defining year. I'm pretty happy with how things have turned out.

I'm so excited for this upcoming year because I have some great goals I'm planning to execute. I don't want to share them yet, cause I don't want to jinx them LOL. But God-willing, everything will go well and I can share my projects with you guys. However, I do want to share some resolutions I've come up with for myself:

  • Consistently keep a workout schedule

  • Pick up another creative hobby (not sure if I want to do jewelry making, scrapbooking or letter writing.)

  • Plan my wedding under budget.

  • Pay off a large amount of my debt.

  • Keep in the word and continue to be a vessel for God's purpose.

  • Continue to build my blogging business

How about you? What are some of your goals for 2018?

Before the year ends, I wanted to share one more Fashion Favorites post with you all. This cape jacket by Ted Baker is a new addition to my closet and the highlight for today's post!

I've never owned a cape-jacket before, so I wasn't 100% sure how to function in it, as silly as that sounds. My arms felt a bit constricted in this that when I moved, I would end up moving the jacket off my shoulders and I would have to adjust the whole thing completely.

I did feel very suave in this though. What I love most are the gems sewn at the collar of the jacket. It added just the right pop of bling that I like (And you guys know I love my bedazzled stuff).

I also liked that the jacket was made out of wool, so it has some durability and warmth to it. It's getting a bit chillier here in Vegas, so it's the perfect time to wear this.

This is definitely a piece to wear for a more formal occasion. I think this look pairs well with the outfit I have on now, but some other options come to mind. I would most likely wear this for a nice dinner or over a dress during the colder months for a cocktail hour. As beautiful as the cape jacket is, I couldn't see myself wearing this during a night out with friends or for a family outing.

Hope you guys liked my review on this! I hope you all have a safe and wonderful New Year's weekend!

Love you guys, and see you in 2018
;) Xo
