8 oz Korean Steak House // Las Vegas Eats

Not too many people know this, but I'm a pescatarian. I wasn't always like this though. Growing up, I ate a lot of meat (of course, I'm Filipino). My Dad would cook chicken, ribs, and steak for all kinds of meals and I loved it all.

Back in 2011, I was introduced to the Daniel Fast, which in short is a faith-based (and very strict) vegan diet with no added sugars and caffeine. For 21 days, I cleaned out my body and I felt amazing. I dropped 15-20 pounds and decided to incorporate fasting into my life.

After adapting to the Daniel Fast, I decided to convert to veganism completely. For the first few months of my new diet, I found that my body needed more protein to function; I scaled back to vegetarianism. That didn’t help too much and I had to incorporate some type of meat back into my diet. I tried chicken and my body felt very weird after. I tried fish and found it sustained me, so I’ve been sticking to this diet since.

I will say though, I still enjoy the smell of meat cooking. There’s something about a flavored and marinated meat cooking on the grill that is nostalgic to me. I think it’s because my Dad used to cook a lot in the kitchen while I was growing up. In a way, it’s kind of comforting to me (as weird as that sounds, haha!). When you live with a couple good chefs in your house (my brother is a great cook too), you learn to appreciate something like that.

So when the Vegas Lifestyle Influencer babes were invited to check out 8oz Korean Steak House for our K-Beauty BBQ event, I seized the opportunity to join!

Read the captions below about my full dining experience and all the fun we had :)

The babes (from left to right): Me, Jcamireese, DaniellePerea, Jetsettindaisy, AmberAllureCupcakes, Wholetthemumout, StylebyAyron, Stilettosandsincity, StephLouiseAtb, and Wondertramp. Obviously super excited to eat!

I loved the industrial interior of the restaurant. It looked fresh and modern, which added a special touch to our dining experience. // Photo by: Tyler Rae Mills

The way it works is, you order the meat your want and the servers cook it right in front of you! The smell of the food was bliss. Plus, it's always fun watching the servers cook because they all are so fast and animated during their process.

Meat before it hit the grill! Look how enormous and thick these are *wide eyed emoji*

Even though I couldn't eat the meat, they had some vegetarian friendly options. I munched on seafood & tofu with grilled veggies!

These were probably my most favorite things from the restaurant: Kimchi Pancakes *drooling* Because I was limited on what I could eat, our server Jayden hooked yah girl up with a full plate to herself! YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !

Of course, our set-up was prime thanks to our group leader, JetSettinDaisy <3

Our K-Beauty swag bags were TO DIE FOR! Thank you to our sponsors, Klairs & SkinFood for all the amazing goodies! I will be writing a review on these, so watch out for it :)
