Chinese New Year at Hakkasan // Las Vegas Eats

Hey, there beauties!

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far.

I'm currently up in the whee hours of the night, just trying to catch up on all my personal things: laundry, blogging, creating, journaling...I've been on this crazy creating high lately and I can't seem to slow down. It's been nice to feel motivation and inspired. I was in quite a funk with my recent hive break out, but I've broke through the negative mindset and have decided to be proactive about everything as best as I can. I definitely need to sleep soon though.

The Happy Daisy drink Tanqueray No.10 gin Chartreuse Yellow, lemon, spiced mandarin, egg white & soda water.

Szechuan wind dried oyster with lotus root

Crispy scallop in sweet plum sauce with mango in a golden cup; Braised beef tongue & caramelized walnut

I wanted to roll back to a dinner I attended with the Vegas Lifestyle Influencer babes for the Chinese New Year! We got invited to Hakkasan Restaurant to celebrate the big occasion and go to try their menu for the month. The menu has an array of Chinese inspired dishes, perfect to ring in the new year.

A lot of the dishes are smaller plates that are great for sharing with others. The ladies and I dug in to all the delicious dishes!!

Baked Chilean sea bass with Kumquat glaze

Abalone fried rice in bean curd wrap

Rhug estate organic lamb in seaweed soy

We wrote out our wishes for 2018 for the restaurant to hang up. Our leaders Melanie and Stephanie hooked it up with chocolate gold coins and candy. YUM!

Wok fry native lobster in superior stock - with edamame and caviar

Gold fortune dessert with ginger caramel roasted macadamia & lemon grass

My favorite out of everything was the Crispy Scallop (in sweet plum sauce with mango in a golden cup.) Aside from the nice crunch of the cups, I enjoyed  every bite of the flavor of those things. They are soooooooooooooooooo good!

The Happy Daisy was surprisingly a drink I enjoyed. I am not a Gin type of person at all (I like my tequila LOL), and I've never had a drink that had egg whites in it. It was a very unique taste and texture. It took me a couple sips to get used to it.

The food at Hakkasan was top notch. I've personally never went out to celebrate Chinese New year, but this was the best way to do it!

The restaurant has their CNY menu until the end of February! Check it out this week and ring in the year of the dog proper ;)

Thank you to Hakkasan for having us! Your hospitality was wonderful. (Our servers were very accommodating and made sure that one of our girls who has a gluten allergy still had a delicious meal!)

Happy Eating!
