Faithfully Honest: "You Still Have a lot of Rice to Eat."

It was a sunny Wednesday morning as I stood in the kitchen making my breakfast before work. With tired eyes, all I could think of was how grateful I felt it was the middle of the week. If I made it this far, then I could get through the rest of the week, right? As this thought lingered in my head, I heard foot steps approach the room. I looked up to see my mom standing at the kitchen doorway. She stared at me with concerned eyes and asked, "So how are you feeling?"...

Fashion Favorites: Patty's Closet

If there's one look I without a doubt, seriously for real, absolutely, with all my heart know I CANNOT pull off, it's the ever trending romper. Rompers have been my nemesis since I first tried one on in a dressing room at Francesca's a few months ago. It made me look gumpy and it made me look really short and big. I think you have to have a certain body shape to effortlessly pull off a romper, and being 5'2 with a curvy figure doesn't help. (Note: That's just my opinion for myself and how I looked. Not saying other curvy short girls couldn't pull off the look.) But to my surprise, I saw a romper at Patty's Closet, thought, "What the heck?" and tried it on. I was amazed at how nice the romper actually looked on me...

Fashion Favorites: Patty's Closet

To be honest, I don't really shop too much (as I previously mentioned in my last entry). But when I do find something I like, I make the investment. So when I walked into Patty's Closet on Rainbow and Windmill the other week, I was surprised to find that I wanted to buy everything! Fashion Favorites: Wet Seal

You know what's the best part of shopping? A sale ! I'm sure everyone can relate to that, especially if you love shopping for clothes. Even though I'm a fashion student, it doesn't mean I shop all the time. A splurge for me is when I actually go shopping. LOL! But with summer setting in here in Vegas and with having a bit more free time, I make more of an effort to check out what things I can add to my closet. This dress is a great find from Wetseal. I know that store is more for juniors, but it doesn't hurt to look and see what kind of stuff they have, especially since I'm only 5'2. [#Funsized ;) ]...

Faithfully Honest: Follow Your Dreams

I remember the moment like it was just yesterday. My mom and I were driving down the freeway as the beautiful sun shined through the car windows. I was driving and she was in the front seat. We were on our way to the beach and we just finished discussing the sermon at her church, a message about faith and how to trust God in all circumstances. The conversation then led my mom to reveal a story about herself that I never knew, a story that really gave me a glimpse of her life journey...

Fashion Favorites: H&M

If you know me, then you know my wardrobe consists mainly of dresses. I could wear dresses everyday of my life if I had enough outfits to last me a lifetime ! Wearing a dress has the power to make me feel more confident, fashionable, or even sexy. Call me crazy, but I actually feel more comfortable in a dress than jeans and a t-shirt. And one of the best things about a dress is that whether it's a floral printed dress, a maxi or a mini dress, you can really dress it up or dress it down (with the right accessories, of course)...
