Nomadic Vibes & Mountains Pt. 2 // Fashion Favorites

Hola Amigosssss!

Hope you guys have had a great week so far. Mine has been off to a pretty swell start, but I am just on slow-mo mode at the moment. I think this is the first time all day that I've had the opportunity to just sit and relax a bit because I've been on the go all day (and yes, writing this entry is relaxing for me even though it's work).

This past weekend, I spent some quality time with me, myself & I. I think it's one of the best ways to decompress from a busy life. I get to really reflect on my day-to-day activities, my interactions with people from the previous week, plan for my week ahead, pray a bit to God about what's on my heart and my all time-favorite activity-- cleaning. Haha! I like to clean my space so that I can re-order the clutter in my head. A clean space while reflecting helps my mind stay clear and focused. Anyone else with me on this? Orrrrrrrrr maybe I'm just weird, idk.

This week, I wanted to share part dos of my adventure with Gman at Red Rock Springs. I had the best time running around Red Rock and adventuring through nature. It amazes me that all of these beautiful mountains are just right down the road from my house. I definitely need to take advantage of it more, especially this time of the year.

I. am. in love. with this. DRESS! I mean, I love it so much, I might as well make it my Valentine for this year, but SHHHHH!!! Don't tell Gman. lol

The most interesting part about this dress is that it's actually a long wrap dress. I saw it on Amazon and fell in love with the pattern, but didn't realize the actual style of it. However, it's not difficult to put on at all. Because this dress is cut regularly and not for petite ladies, there was a bit of extra fabric around the waist and at the bottom. Usually, I would complain about something like that because extra fabric like this would normally make me feel like I'm swimming in what I'm wearing. But the fabric around the waist wasn't too much (I feel like I can actually eat while wearing this---always a plus! Lol.) and I just threw on some heeled knee-high boots to compensate of my lack of height.

I pulled a Carrie Underwood and wore shorts underneath the dress because it tends to open up in the front while walking. I learned it the hard way while I was walking around and it flew open in front of a few people. Whooooopsies!

The bell-sleeves give this dress a very bohemian look, a look that is a personal favorite of mine. Also, I'm so glad that chokers are back in style. I layered a thick velvet choker and a long thin velvet choker and tied it with a bow around my neck.

See the links below to the dress and chokers. The chokers actually came in a set of 10! I was pretty pumped because I love being able to layer different ones together and style different looks.

Love love LOVEEEE you guys !
