Hey guys! I hope you guys have been enjoying your holiday weekend. It's crazy that Halloween is here because that means October is coming to a close and I realized I never got to share this post with you all.

So because I live in Vegas, it's mostly assumed that I spend my free-time with my friends venturing through the strip and hitting up the clubs and all that jazz. But because I've been a local for almost 5 years now (December would be my anniversary, WOOOHOOO!), I've found that there are so many other great places to spend time with my loved ones.

One of my all time favorite places is Tivolli Village, which is conveniently located right down the road from my house. This place is completely picturesque, imitating a European town with it's cobblestone roads and open-air shopping experience. It's still a developing area in the city, but it's one of my favorite places to go when I want to meet up with friends. Best of all, it's away from the strip haha!

For me, relaxing with a friend means going out to eat and enjoying some great food and drinks. One of my beautiful friends, Chalon, met up with me at Tivoli and we had lunch at a place called View Wine Bar & Kitchen. We actually randomly stumbled along this place without any intention of looking for it. But let me say that this place was such a great surprise.

It's a tapas style place with a menu of full of fresh food like salads, sandwiches and small snacks to share. They also have a special drink menu, specializing in wines, beers and charcuterie & cheese plates. Prices are fairly cheap and is a great spot to hang out at. Plus, you get a pretty nice view of the mall down below if you sit by the window. Chalon and I can attest to this as we spent about 2 hours here just enjoying our time and people watching the shoppers in the streets. Hahahaha!

To celebrate friendship, we ordered a couple peach Bellinis that tasted great! I don't have them often, but it was great to sip and talk while we waited for our food.

I ordered a farmer's market salad and Chalon had an order of shrimp tacos. Both were delicious and tasted fresh! I love food, but I also don't eat a whole lot in one sitting, so the amount of salad I had was quite a lot for me. I shared some with Chalon and she loved it too! Because we went around 1:30pm or so, the place was kind of slow, so our food came out fairly quickly. I've heard the place is poppin' for dinner time, so keep that in mind if you ever decide to come through!

Over all, the service and the food was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the strip and just want to a relaxing atmosphere. For more info on View Wine Bar and Kitchen, check them out here and their yelp page here.

Happy Sunday!
