NY&Company Trench Coat // Fashion Favorites

Happy Saturday, lovies! 

Another week has gone and an anticipated weekend is finally here !!!!!!! I am honestly on full sloth mode this morning. Lol. I just want to lay in bed and hide under the covers for most of the day. 🙈 But I am so excited for this evening. Gman and I are invited to go to a Christmas party hosted by a lovely couple. They are friends with Gman's grandma and they throw these pot-luck get togethers throughout the year, invite all the people they know, and just enjoy each other' company. We went to one of their other parties this year where people brought in things they wanted to giveaway, like books, clothes, accessories, home stuff and all sorts of knick knacks. It was a pretty great get together where I drank wine, met some of the coolest and friendliest characters and ended up doing a weaving dance around a pole. Lol definitely a memorable time. I'm hoping tonight will be just as enjoyable and absolutely jolly & merry 😜

Anyways, now that's its winter, I broke out one of my favorite jackets to wear this season. It's a jacket I found three summers ago at a NYandCompany sale. The jacket was originally $300, but my Mom gifted it to me and she got it for $50. 

I love the look of this jacket. It's a classic silhouette that almost makes me look like I'm wearing a Burberry trench coat. However, I feel like I have to be super careful wearing it because it gets dirty easily.

I found that this jacket can easily be cleaned by simply hand washing it or taking a wet cloth and rubbing the dirt off. The label says you can put it in the washer or get it dry cleaned. I actually have another friend who has this jacket (Shout-out to the fashionable Camila! <3). She said she put her coat in the washer and it came out fine. For me, I ended up hand washing it. Just to make sure it was thoroughly clean, I also took it to the dry cleaners (I had a coupon lol) and they did their work on it. 

Aside from all that, it's a coat I wear every season because it makes a great statement piece. I have many coats in my closet that make me feel some type of way, but this coat beats them all. Plus, the fact that I get asked if I'm wearing a Burberry coat when I go out doesn't hurt either ;) I am definitely not in the right financial state to buy or even look at a Burberry coat, but it goes to show that this coat not only looks high quality, but is made out of high quality fabrics. I love love love it!
