Las Vegas Events: Vegas Cut and Sew
As a Vegas residence and blogger, one of the things I'm very passionate about is showcasing that Vegas does have a fashion community here. So when I was approached by my fellow fashionista friends about an event they were working on called Vegas Cut and Sew, I was so ecstatic that they were working to showcase the same thing. This event was a 4 day extravaganza of business, fashion & education. Hosted by Fashion Feed LV and Parlay Magazine, Vegas Cut + Sew was created to connect fashion designers, photographers, models, artists and entrepreneurs in the local fashion industry. The event was held from February 17th-20th at Zappos in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. During the day, a series of seminars were hosted by local fashion artists. They highlighted some hot topics of the industry, such as new fashion technology, social media and small business development. The even went on into the evening to feature a fashion show for some local and future resident designers like Tatyana, Kyler Baltimore and Aldo Mencatto (see full list of designers here).
In support of the event, I attended the fashion show on Thursday, February 18th. I saw the works of Tatyana, Carita Davis, Derek Smoot, Anna Welniako and Joseph Charles Poli hit the runway and was blown away! Find the looks from the runway below (in order of mention).
