Happy Halloween, loves!

I hope your Halloween weekend was spent wearing silly costumes, eating lots of candy, and watching all of your favorite Halloween flicks.

I actually spent this past weekend getting over the same chest infection I had a couple weeks ago. I thought I was better, but it creeped back on me. So I ended up spending Friday night in bed resting and watching season 2 of Stranger Things. I am obsessed! I may even re-watch the season, just for kicks. But spending the night watching the show sick in bad wasn't a bad way to start Halloween weekend, wouldn't you agree?

I did get a chance to celebrate Halloween with the Vegas Lifestyle Influencer babes. We spent time at 7th & Carson and had a great brunch made by Chef Gregg Fortunato and his team. I have to say, it was probably one of the best brunches I've had in a while!

Our group decided to get into the Halloween spirit and dress-up for our brunch. I usually don't dress-up for Halloween, but I thought it would be an appropriate occasion to come up with a costume. I decided to be Wednesday Addams from the Addams Family. It was such an easy costume to put together cause I was able to find pieces from my own closet. I was finally able to use the black eye shadow I have that I've never used and made sure to put on a ton of white powder on my face. Oh! And I applied a dark lipstick and did my hair in braids... I couldn't forget the dark lipstick and braids. Despite how sick I felt, I think I did a pretty good job. LOL. :)

We started off the meal with one of 7th & Carson's best, The Hot Melons cocktail. I'm not usually a spicy drink person, but this was a great balance between spicy and sweet.  The drink had tequila, habanero syrup, watermelon, lemon and cracked pepper. It actually helped a bit with the my infection!

Brioche french toast was divine! It was served with sprinkles of peaches and sides of whipped butter and lavender syrup. The lavender syrup was something I've never had before. It was the right taste of floral and maple. So delicious and unique!

The yogurt parfait was nicely presented. It came with toasted granola, seasonal berries, and a side of local honey. I actually didn't get a chance to try this one as I think I'm becoming lactose intolerant (will save that for another post), but it looked fresh and appetizing.

Okay, I know I just said I couldn't have dairy, but this breakfast pizetta was my absolute favorite out of the bunch. The pizetta was made with fresh mozarella, scrambled egg, and bacon. Since I don't eat meat, Chef Gregg made my side with no bacon (and yes, it was just as good!).
