Happy Day-After-Christmas, guys! (Not sure if that's a thing, but we'll just make it one LOL)

I hope you all had a great time celebrating the holiday with your loved ones. I am so happy I got a few days off to spend with Gman and catch up on some blog stuff. Things have been quite hectic with moving in with G, gearing up for the holidays, attending events and switching jobs. Throw in celebrating Christmas and all that, and it's a recipe for a busy busy bee.

Gman and I spent our first Christmas together in our own place, which meant we had the choice to celebrate the holiday with whatever traditions we wanted. We spent the last few days having date nights and just spending quality time together. It was really nice to do that because it's not something we get to do too often. I think we've narrowed down our Christmas tradition though: Obviously, we'll have days where we spend time with our families, but for us, we're good with dinner and a movie. And since the movie theaters are some of the only places open on Christmas Day, it works perfectly. We watched the new Star Wars movie and Jumanji. Both were pretty great. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but I appreciate the franchise. Truth be told, because we went to one of those nice theaters with the luxury seating, I fell asleep during the last 20 minutes of the movie. LOL. I had to have Gman recap with the movie for me, but oh well! X) Jumanji was HEE-LAR-IOUS. Jack Black and Kevin Hart did an amazing job in that movie. Wasn't sure how the film was going to do because reboots can be a hit or miss. This one was a hit for sure.

Anyways, it was nice to spend time with Gman and get out and about away from work for a few days. However, I'm glad that this week will be the final stretch of all the holiday craziness. I'm starting to get into lazy holiday mode and all I wanna do is stay home, eat and watch holiday movies in my pjs. LOL!

Well, before I head back into work this morning, I wanted to share my recent experience at the ever-famous, Buddy V's Ristorante, owned by Cake Boss's Buddy Valastro. The restaurant is located in The Grand Canal Shoppes of The Venetian and Palazzo. Aside from wanting to go and eat their yummy food, we went to celebrate Melanie's birthday, the creator and founder of The Vegas Lifestyle Influencers. She's been dying to go here, so naturally her BFF and our co-group leader, Stephanie, made sure to make Melanie's birthday extra special for her by putting together a fabulous brunch! Stephanie rounded up some of the girls from the group and we all got to experience the restaurant's weekly brunch at this awesome spot to celebrate one of our favorite ladies!

The restaurant was having their weekly brunch, complete with an all-you-can-eat buffet, bottomless mimosas and some other yummy cocktails. If you like Bloody Marys, the restaurant has a Bloody Mary bar where guests can build their own. I sipped on a Pomegranate Bellini and it was sweet and yummy.

For food, they had four different buffet stations of antipasto & meats, popular breakfast foods, a kid's food corner and tons of delicious desserts. I started off with a salad & croissant, and the girls made a comment that I needed to eat more LOL. So I dove into the crepe area and made myself a nutella crepe, grabbed some french toast and poured syrup on it, and topped my plate with a cannoli. Such a sugar rush, but if you're eating at Buddy V's, it's totally worth it!

Aside from the delicious food and drinks, the entire restaurant was decorated for Christmas. It was so gorgeous! They had multiple trees that were decorated with baking utensils, like rolling pins and whisks. They also had a display of holidays desserts, from gingerbread men and houses, to Autumn harvest and Las Vegas themed cakes. To top it all off, they also had a live band playing by the bar. Let me tell you, the band was so good, a couple girls and I made a comment that we thought it was radio music the whole time! Kudos to the band the restaurant hired cause they were awesome! Over all, the place looked pretty magical and could easily get anyone into the holiday spirit.

So glad we had the chance to hang out and celebrate Melanie! With all the hard work her and Stephanie do, it was a great way to get together and celebrate her. She has become not only a leader for us, but a great friend. Cheers to you, Melanie! (Make sure to follow her on IG: @jetsettindaisy)
