Ohlala French Bistro // Las Vegas Eats
Happy New Year's weekend, guys!
I can't believe it's already the last weekend of the year. It seems like it was just a couple months ago I was sitting here typing an entry about New Year's resolutions. Now, I'm wrapping up the year with a few entries for the blog, yet again.
Today, I'm currently at home, sick. I'm pretty sad about it because I haven't been sick for the holidays in a few years. And who likes being sick during the holidays!? Just trying to take some rest and recover today. Gotta gear up for the last day of the year tomorrow ;)
Before I go and take a nap, I wanted to recap my experience with the Vegas Lifestyle Influencer babes at Ohlala French Bistro in Summerlin.
Ohlala is owned by Richard Terzaghi and Nicolas Sillac, both of whom used to own a restaurant in San Francisco called L'Osteria Del Forno. The place is a parisian and quaint eatery that's great for a romantic night out or a gathering with friends. What's interesting to me is that I have been to the area of Ohlala's location so many times, but never realized it was there. It's almost as if it's a secret place that will eventually become one of the best places to have dinner at in Las Vegas.
The owner was so generous to the us, giving us a taste of their great appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Here's a run down of my favs:
Appetizer - Warm Crusted Pistachio Goat Cheese
All the girls and I LOVED this app! Although I probably shouldn't be eating cheese, this one actually didn't make me break out. The taste of the pistachios with the cheese not only gave it a smooth taste, but a nice crunch. We ate it with bread and wine, which was perfect!
Entree - Sole Meunière
This was by far my favorite dish because of how well the sole was seasoned. The buttery flavor of the sole along with the potatoes made for a tasty dish in my book.
Dessert - Chocolat Liegeois
Although my favorite dessert is Tiramisu, I have to say that the Chocolat Liegeois overwhelmed my taste buds more. The simple ingredients of chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream was an excellent dessert to end dinner.
To end the night, we had a White Elephant gift exchange. I was not going to participate, but one of the girls brought an extra gift. I ended up getting a really cute Bunny Sponge LOL.
Thank you to Ohlala French Bistro for hosting out Christmas in Paris event! It was a great way to celebrate pre-Christmas with our girls over delicious food!
We also got some amazing swag! Thank you to our awesome beauty & lifestyle sponsors: Kiss, Nielsen Massey, Diane Ratican , author of Why la Pourquoi Paris?, Chesapeake Bay Candles , Red Cherry Lashes , Pistache & Zoella Beauty!
